Office Re-opening Updates - June 1

Dear Patients,

Your health and the health of our staff is our highest priority.  For that reason, the office of Dr. Low and Dr. Lorenz will remain temporarily closed until the shelter in place order is lifted.  We anticipate reopening the office for routine dental care in early June.

Our office has always followed strict Infection Control protocols and Standard Precautions recommended by the CDC, CDA and OSHA to ensure that we can deliver excellent dental care to our patients safely.  Additionally, we have implemented many new protocols for the protection of all our patients and staff.

Some of the changes we have implemented for the office include:

  • Patient supplemental health questionnaire required prior to each appointment
  • In-office patient temperature screening prior to every appointment
  • Dr. Low, Dr. Lorenz and Staff daily health and temperature screenings
  • New office barriers and social distancing protocols
  • Reduced number of patients seen to enhance social distancing and allow for thorough disinfection of treatment rooms and common areas
  • Medical grade air filtration in every treatment room
  • Additional aerosol evacuation equipment
  • Frequent disinfection of ambient air with disinfectant fogging machines

Pre-Appointment Information:

  • Upon scheduling your next appointment (or within 2 days of appointment), you will be asked a series of screening questions for possible COVID-19 infection over the phone and again when you arrive for your appointment.  Alternatively, you may also print and fill out the screening questions (first column only) and email the form to the office at
  • Please update any health, insurance or contact information at this time.   COVID-19 SCREENING QUESTIONS

Appointment Day Information:

  • All patients and accompanying guardians must wear face masks when in the office.
  • Please notify the office via phone  (650) 327-7060 that you have arrived.  If that is not possible, please knock on the front office door and someone will greet you at the door. When we are ready to see you for your appointment, we will notify you.
  • Please arrive alone for your appointment.  All visitors, guardians and drivers will be asked to wait in the car.  We will notify guardians when you are through with your appointment.
  • Maintain social distancing inside and outside of the office and practice good hand hygiene and cough etiquette.
  • We will take your temperature with a no-touch thermometer and review the screening questionnaire again.  Please be patient with us as this is required information.

We are grateful for your patience and for the trust you have placed in us as your healthcare providers.  The entire staff has been thoroughly trained in the new safety protocols and equipment and are ready to resume your dental care.

We have been closely following the recommendations of CDA, ADA and the CDC and are implementing strict protocols to ensure the safety of our patients, our team, and their families.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.   Although we may be covered up, we are smiling with our eyes and from within.

In health and friendship,

Dr. Low, Dr. Lorenz, and Team
